AITA for being mad that my father sold my dead mother's ring?

My mom died three years ago. Before she died she gave me her wedding ring and told me to wear it when I got married. I expected her to leave it to her youngest daughter, C(25), who was the favorite and is still single, so it was a big honor that she gave it to me.

I got married last year and wanted to wear it as my wedding ring but C asked if she could borrow it to wear to my reception. I was surprised but assumed she wanted to honor mom.

I let her borrow it and she had a great time at the wedding. But when I asked her to give it back she said that she had lost it at the reception. I was heartbroken and am still hurting over it.

Then when my dad visited last week he mentioned the ring. Apparently C had not lost it at all. She gave it to my father and told him she wanted to sell it. He sold it to some guy he knows and C got the money.

I yelled at my dad and called him an asshole. He said he didn't think I ever had any intention of wearing it, because I already had a wedding ring, and C is single and may never have a chance to wear it. He said mom always wanted C to have it because she was her baby. I reminded him that mom gave it to me but he said only because she thought that I would leave it to C.

I am mad at both of them. She has my bridal shower jewelry set and several other items of my moms, and she's my fathers only daughter with a paid for house, car, and medical school. My husband and I have none of those things.

AITA?
