Hello I am a rookie teacher here in the Philippines. I read this sub and learned a lot here. That's why I'm asking for advice because I am celebrating the end of the school year and our party will be this Wednesday. I want to give some prizes for games and all. The thing is, in my country, we are required to give gifts or something to our teachers. I want to take it to the next level by surprising my students. If you have any advice on how I can make them feel like it's the other way around, please let me know. I only have 50 students by the way. Thank you and have a great day.

Edit: I want to make this very special because this group of students that I have are the very first students that I handle as a teacher. Thank you for all the advice that I've been getting so far. If you have more to give, it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

Edit no. 2: Well, we already had our party. It was lit. I bought them balut (boiled duck eggs), some beers (root beers) and a cake. We had a lot of fun and we played lots of games. My students were surprised to see that most of the prizes were stuff that they need for school. It was a happy day. I almost cried. Thank you for all the advice that I got from you, fellow teachers. I read every single comment and suggestion that you gave. Thank you very much and happy teaching.
