I’ve been a teacher for 20 years. I have never seen anything like this. My school is part of a large, high achieving district. <br><br>We’ve had a lot of fights this last month. Many involving girls. I’ve never really had any issues with girls fighting in my classes or in the hallway.<br><br>Well, today…two girls who are considered “good” girls got into a fight. One girl who threw the first punch was already in ISS for being a bully. She was sitting in class across from the other girl. She asked the poor girl in front of her if she wanted to get in a fight. The poor girl said no because she didn’t want to fight. <br><br>The bully then said she was going to punch the girl next to her in the face. Then she did it. The girl who got punched started hitting the bully…who then proceeded to beat the girl up. <br><br>The whole class went into panic mode as well as the girl who got punched in the face. I quickly called the admin and briefly told them that a girl got punched in the face. They immediately jumped into action. <br><br>Counselors, admin, and police showed up almost immediately. The girl who got punched was crying hysterically, hyperventilating, and freaking out. <br><br>I’m just so…wow. I don’t even know what to say. I’m so glad nothing like this has happened in my class before, but wow…who knew humans could treat humans so horribly. Very sad.
