Women have no sense of humor when it comes to self-deprecation.

So my wife and I were having a conversation about something, and I said something self-deprecating about myself. The second the words left my mouth, she looked at me with a scowl on her face like I said the most awful thing I could possibly say.<br><br>I asked her, "What?"<br><br>And she said, "You always bring yourself down."<br><br>I said, "But it's just a joke."<br><br>And she said, "It's not funny."<br><br>I asked her, "But don't you ever notice that the funniest people are the ones that make fun of themselves?"<br><br>And she just gave me a disgusted look and said, "No, I don't think that's funny at all. In fact, it makes me uncomfortable."<br><br>I was taken aback by her response because I had never met anyone who didn't find self-deprecating humor funny. But then again, I've come to realize that women have a hard time understanding sarcasm, and often take things too literally. So I guess it shouldn't have come as a shock to me that my wife wouldn't find self-deprecating humor funny.<br><br>So for anyone out there who's had a similar experience, just know you're not alone.
