CMV: The human population will still be in the billions in 2500 and Earth will still be habitable

Space exploration has not been a priority for most of humanity, and even if it does I don't think it can scale quickly enough to make the human population in space exceed billions especially if Earth itself still survive the large impact events like the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs. There are countless problems and challenges that would prevent us from making humanity a multi-planetary species and even if we do I don't think it would be as soon as 2500.

Also especially if renewable energy sources become cheaper than fossil fuel, large corporations would have no reason to keep polluting the environment and would actually start to worry about their reputation (which is why the likes of BP, Shell, etc, are beefing up on solar and wind farms).
