AITA For telling my brother to pay me for the laptop he took or I would report it stolen

I've had a laptop since my senior year of high school. My parents got it for me when I was starting to do a lot of research for colleges and had to do research for classes.

I started using it in college and I still have it and still use it. It's served me well over the years. I've upgraded to a newer model just recently, but I kept this one in really good condition. It still works excellent.

My brother is starting college next fall and he doesn't have a laptop. My parents told him they'd get him one right before he's about to start. He wanted to use mine because it was still in good condition and my parents said yes without talking to me first. They assumed that I would just give it to him because "I don't use it anymore" but I kind of do and I want to keep it. I didn't live at home anymore so the decision to give it to him was a rash one.

He came to visit me and picked it up without asking me first. I've texted him and my parents my frustration and told him to give it back or I would report it stolen. He was livid and said I was being "selfish" and "immature" for not giving it to him. My parents are also mad at me and want me to grow up and "let it go".

The more I think about it, the more annoyed I get. I really don't want to give it to him but the guilt trips from my parents are wearing me down.

AITA?

UPDATE:

Thanks for all the comments. I've decided to ask for my laptop back and if it's not back by next weekend I will report it. Suck it, bro.

I appreciate all the awards and the support. I didn't expect this to get so much traction, but I appreciate all the comments and PMs you guys have sent me.
