I'm a pizza guy. They tried to lure me in and take my stuff

I deliver pizza/dinner. I have for years, and thousands of times. I've been held up at gunpoint and robbed once, and since then I carry a tool with me. <br><br>I'm pretty aware of my surroundings, I know most of the streets in my town, the good ones and the bad ones. I've had instances where I get to a house and I just have a bad vibe, so I wouldn't even get out of my car.<br><br>But this one was different. I was scheduled to deliver one pizza on one street, then go to another 2 miles down the road.<br><br>It was about 9 PM. I was just driving down the street when I saw a house with a light on, and the house number matched the number on my receipt. I thought hey, cool, wouldn't have to look up and down the street for it.<br><br>I pulled in the driveway, and noticed that the house looked abandoned. I got out of the car and knocked on the door. The house was only 20 feet from the street, so the other houses nearest to it would have a good view of my car. I walked back to my car and called the number on my receipt, nothing.<br><br>I thought it was a mistake, so I continued to the next house a couple miles down the road. The street was really dark, but I could see some people huddled up on the corner, not too far from the house. I pulled in the driveway, noticing that this house was also abandoned. I got out of the car and noticed the group of people from the corner walking down the street toward me. <br><br>I walked up to the door, decided to knock, and then I thought to myself, this house is also abandoned. If this was a set up, I was in big trouble. The group of people who were walking down the street got closer, and I decided to turn around and run back to my car.<br><br>I got in my car and started the engine, but the group was already there, and I could see that one of them had a knife. <br><br>I put the car in gear and went forward and they all jumped out of the way. I didn't look back. I drove to a safe area and called my manager and told him what just happened.<br><br>The address from the first house tracked to a house on a completely different street, 6 miles away. I delivered that pizza, nothing out of the ordinary.<br><br>This was in 2017 and I still think about it to this day.
