It's time to accept that you will never be married. The correct response is not anger but acceptance. The correct response is not bitterness but letting go.

In fact, the correct response to almost everything in your life should be letting go. You do not have the power to control most of the events in your life. All you have the power to do is to decide how you respond to them.

This is not to be confused with resistance. Sometimes people use resistance as a synonym for "control". But they are not the same thing. When you resist something, you are not controlling the situation. You are simply deciding how to respond to it.

Resistance is what gives you the illusion that you are in control. It's what makes you think you have more power in a given situation than you actually do.

Letting go is about understanding that you are not in control of the situation. That you can't change it. That there's nothing you can do to stop it, or reverse it. It's about being able to accept that.

The reason letting go is the correct response to everything in your life is not because it is what you want. It's because it is what you can do. Letting go is the only response in your power. It's the only thing you can do.

Resistance is a dead end street. It will get you nowhere. It will not achieve anything for you. It will only cause you suffering. It will make you feel powerless and impotent in the face of the uncontrollable.

Acceptance is the only other option. But it is not the same as letting go. Acceptance is a form of resistance. Acceptance is resisting reality. Accepting that you are not in control of your life. Accepting that you will never get married.

Letting go is different. Letting go is about realizing that there is nothing for you to control. That there is nothing you can do to stop something from happening or reverse something that has happened. Letting go is about letting go of resistance. It's about letting go of the need to control the uncontrollable. It's about letting go of the need to resist reality.

Letting go is not about accepting your lot in life. It's about being willing to let go of your need for control. It's about being willing to let go of your need to resist reality. It's about being willing to let go of your need for resistance. It's about being willing to let go.

That's it. Nothing more. Nothing less. That's all you can do in your life. That's all anyone can do in their life. It's all anyone has ever been able to do.

And it's enough. It's enough to live a peaceful life. It's enough to live a fulfilling life. It's enough to live a happy life. It's enough to live a good life.

It's enough because you will be willing to let go of everything you need to let go of. Because you will be willing to let go of your need for resistance. You will be willing to let go of your resistance to reality. You will be willing to let go of your resistance to your lot in life.

And you will be happy. Because you will be letting go of your need to control the uncontrollable. Because you will be letting go of your need to resist reality. Because you will be letting go of your resistance to your lot in life.
