My dad has worked for the US Postal Service for the past 28 years. Every year him and I would sit and watch the news together when the story about the guy who jumps off a bridge broke. Today it was especially nostalgic. Happy Thanksgiving!

Edit: Wow this blew up. I am very glad it could touch so many people. I am especially glad I got to share this small moment with so many. I am unaware of the origins of the Turkey Jump Prank, and my dad does not remember when he started doing it, so I guess we will never know. But happy thanksgiving, and don't forget to have a good laugh with the ones you love - and to make sure the prank is light-hearted.

Edit 2: Wow!! This is insane. I just woke up and wow. Again, I am so glad that this has been able to touch so many people. I love Turkey Jump, and I am so glad it has been able to hit so many people right in the feels. So thank you to everyone who shared in this moment with me, and to whomever is getting A’s by making my post into an essay, good luck!

Edit 3: For all those who are confused, the turkey jump is a prank my dad does (and has done for years) every time we watch the news of a guy jumping off a bridge. The guy is dressed in a Turkey suit and jumps into an inflatable slide. It is not the news story, it is a joke my dad does (and has done for years) when we watch it. Guaranteed it is a Turkey Jump prank that has been passed down through the years, originating from who or where, I do not know. Guaranteed my dad is not the origin, so I guess we will never know I guess.

Edit 4 (and final): Thank you so much for all the love. This was a very special moment for me and my dad, and to all those who helped me share it with the world. Thank you so much Reddit, and happy thanksgiving!
