CMV: One day we'll look at the treatment of animals and the uncalled for killing of them the way we look at slavery

It's very likely a future generation will look back at the thought of any animal being killed for a reason other than survival as unthinkable. They will be appalled by the treatment of animals, particularly the food and fur industries, and the fact that society pays for the torture and killing of millions of innocent animals daily. I believe many of the reasonings behind killing and mistreatment of animals are many times as unreasonable as the belief that one race is superior to another, and I think it's very likely a future generation will think so too.<br><br>EDIT: I believe the comparison can be widened to include several other issues of oppression such as sexism, LGBTQ+ rights, etc. if you want to argue for that as well that's fine.
