What’s the best way to build my philosophy?

I think philosophy is fascinating and I’m learning more about it through college and my own readings. But, I’m wondering how to construct my own philosophy.<br><br>I wonder how philosophers constructed their own philosophy, e.g. how Nietzsche came up with his philosophy, Kant, Descartes, etc.<br><br>In other words, what should I do to construct a personal philosophy?<br><br>TLDR: What’s the best way to build my philosophy?<br><br>Edit: thanks for the responses.
