Are gynocentrism and male disposability really the same thing as female oppression?

In other words: can one argue that men being the disposable sex is the same thing as women being the oppressed sex?

In this post I will not argue which is worse. I will argue that they are two separate things and that drawing a line between them is misleading at best.

Male disposability is when society treats men as disposable, especially men who lose wars, or men who die before marriage or men who are not good enough for women. The male sex is disposable. This is a different thing from male oppression, which is the way men are oppressed in a sexist society.

To argue that both are the same is misleading because one is not the same as the other.
