My stalker

I'm 17 I had the worst vacation ever last year. I was on vacation for 2 weeks on a nice island with my friend and another couple. We stayed in some 8 bedroom house that was beautiful with a lot of stuff to do like ping pong, pool, tennis, etc, but the house was outdated and needed a lot of work.<br><br>The house was surrounded by a lot of woods, so you could walk in the woods and there was a lot of bushes as well in front of the house. <br><br>The whole vacation I had a weird feeling as if something was off. <br><br>I started to notice that my stuff was being moved, so I knew it was one of the other people in the house. It was hard to tell who it was as everyone had to come into my room to go to the bathroom due to the bad plumbing. I decided to set an alarm on my phone so that if anyone came in, I would hear it. <br><br>I also put my glasses under the bed at night and as I woke up in the morning, I was going to check if they were still there, but as I was going to look, I saw someone quickly leave the room and I thought it was weird since we were all in the common area the whole night. I checked my glasses and they weren't there. I freaked out because I couldn't see anything without them and it was already bad with one eye, so I needed them. I later found it in one of the other rooms, and it had scratches so it was probably thrown there.<br><br>One day, the man that was staying there with us told me that he saw someone in the house, but he didn't think much of it. Then, he came back to me and said that he saw the same man again in the woods looking at the house. Still, we didn't think much of it.<br><br><br>Then another day I was in the common area with another man and we heard someone walking around, and the man told me that he saw a man around my age peeking through the windows then he left when he saw him. We then went to tell the others that it might be a squatter living in the house, but none of them believed us. When we told them, all of them were in my room, so I'm thinking it was one of them that was doing all these things, but I have no proof.<br><br>It freaked me out even more and I didn't even want to be in the house anymore. Then later that day, we were all in the common area and I noticed that one of the men standing outside smoking a cigarette, then he left, but the cigarette was still there burning. I then told the other man that saw the person to go check it out, and as he went he told me that it was one of my friends, but he denied it, and the cigarette was still there burning.<br><br>That same day, I went to the common area at night, then as I went back to my room, I saw a man in the room that I was staying in. I was so scared that I ran back to the common area screaming and told everyone, but they were all sleeping so they didn't believe me. <br><br>The next morning, I was in the common area when I saw a knife standing on the ground behind the couch, but none of us had a knife, so it freaked me out even more.<br><br>Then one day, the owner of the house came, and as he walked in he said hi to everyone but me, then he left to go in the room he was staying in, but as he was in there, he was talking to himself and getting mad. I went to him and I told him everything that happened and he told me that he has another man that he lets stay in the house sometimes, but he told him not to go there for the time we were renting it. Also, earlier that day, the man that was staying there with us told me that he saw the man that was peeking through the windows earlier, walking with the owner of the house. <br><br>The owner then told me that the man he lets stay there sometimes is his nephew, and he has a lot of problems like he is a drug addict and he's violent and has been to jail before. Then he told me to not tell the others what he told me as he didn't want to ruin their vacation, and he left. <br><br>When he left, I told the others what he told me and everyone got mad that he didn't tell us when we first told him about it, and a lot got mad that we didn't tell them sooner, they were all scared. <br><br>We were all on edge and decided that we weren't going to stay in the house anymore and we went to a hotel. <br><br>I then texted the owner and told him that we were leaving and he told me that the nephew is very dangerous and I should be careful. I then kept getting texts from him, and he would tell me that his nephew is in jail and that I can come back to the house, but I didn't believe it, and I thought that he was just saying that so I wouldn't report him for letting a dangerous man stay in the house that he was renting. <br><br>Then the day we were leaving, he called me multiple times but I didn't answer, and as I got home I got a lot of calls from him and texts. then he told me that his nephew was released from jail and that he was looking for me and that I should be careful. I then went to the police and made a report and they told me that I had to get a restraining order on him. <br><br>I have been getting calls from him since then, and as I answer he would either hang up or not say anything, and the calls would come from different numbers, so it has to be him. I still haven't gotten the restraining order, but I'm planning to do it tomorrow. <br><br>It has been a few months now, and I'm still on edge about it and I'm always looking over my shoulder.<br><br>Edit: I was staying on the first floor, and the whole house was surrounded with windows. From where the house is located, there are no neighbors at all.
