My Sister and I don't pick up after ourselves

I'm the younger sibling and I know I'm not supposed to complain about my older sibling.<br>But even now, at the age of 30-31, she doesn't clean up after herself.<br><br>I whined about it a lot as a kid, confided in my friends, who all told me she's the odd one in this story.<br>But my Mother always told me "you're still a kid, so you need to clean up after yourself".<br>It seemed like the wrong approach to lead by example for me, cause clearly, I wasn't the problem. <br>I wanted my Mother to tell my sister to clean up after herself instead of telling me to do it.<br><br>Now we live together, my sister, my niece and I, although I don't have my own kid, and my sister's way of "cleaning up after herself" is putting her dirty dishes in the fridge.<br>She still doesn't fit in her clothes from high school and thinks she's 19 wheras she's 31 and an alcoholic.<br>My niece (5) is actually the most mature, only asking me to clean up her toys now and then, but she keeps her toys in her room wheras my sister keeps her hoodie on the floor. <br>I'd love to ask people if they'd consider my sister odd after reading all this, 'cause my friend thinks I'm the crazy one for thinking she'd be wrong.<br>One of my friends said she only keeps her shoes in order, everything else can be a mess as long as her shoes are clean and neat.
