Why don't scientists use Chat GPT to write their papers?

Has anyone done any study on this? There's a lot of discussion about this in the media, but what's the reality on the ground? Is it really used? How is it used? And what are the results? What are the advantages and disadvantages? Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?
