Megathread: Subpoenas served in investigation of Trump's handling of classified documents

Former President Trump’s lawyers have been given until the end of next week to turn over classified documents that remain in his possession to the Justice Department, according to people briefed on the matter. The Justice Department has also previously declined to comment on the ongoing investigation. Trump was served with a subpoena for the documents, for which the return date has since passed. The New York Times is reporting that the FBI is bracing for violence from Trump's supporters after it gets a warrant to search Mar-a-Lago, former President Donald Trump’s private club and residence in Florida.
