AITA for telling my parents I don't care about my family history and I will auction off everything when I inherit it.

When my grandmother passed away my parents inherited her entire estate. Including the house we are living in. I never was allowed to hang anything on my bedroom walls when I was kid. The house is decorated in the same way grandma left it with photos from all her siblings and children on the walls and cabinets. The house has two living rooms one for guests and one for family which is used daily. All these photos and stuff are from a time before I even existed so I don't see why they have to be in the living room. I would rather have some photos of me and my own family up on the walls but my mom insists that grandma would want her stuff here.

To be fair I am a childfree by choice person and I don't see myself ever getting married or having kids. I am just not built for that kinda life. I know my parents see all their friends grandchildren and wonder when I'll pop out some. But it's just not for me.

I know my parents want to leave all this stuff for their grandkids when I have some but since I don't see that happening I don't see why they can't just take down all the pics and stuff that are just gathering dust. So I said I don't want this stuff so I will auction or donate everything when I inherit it. My mom flipped and my dad just went and smoked a cigarette.

AITA?
