AITA for asking moms boyfriend to stop trying to parent me

Second try on this. Phone kept glitching.<br><br>So my dad died suddenly about a year and a half ago. My mom was divorced at the time. She has since started dating again and has met this really nice guy who makes her happy.<br><br>The problem is that he is trying to parent me like I am his own kid. He wants to shell out money for a car, which is fine but as I live at home I dont have the means to pay insurance or gas for said car so it is useless to me. He wants to change the car I drive which is my dads. Its a 2007 mustang that was his dream car. I love driving it.<br><br>He wants to sign up for some classes for me. I am an adult so I really dont need him to sign me up for anything but he wants to.<br><br>He wants me to move in with him and my mom but I dont want to. I miss my dad there. And as I have a disability I have a special set up that he didnt even consider before assuming I would move.<br><br>Truth is, im an adult but I guess I still have a lot of kid left in me. I dont want this man to think I am helpless or that I am not capable of taking care of myself. I am. But for some reason he does not see that.<br><br>I put my foot down and told him he needs to back off and stop treating me like a kid. He got upset and told me that was not what he was doing and that he was simply trying to help.<br><br>Im not sure if im wrong. Aita
