Why do I want to drink alcohol all of a sudden?

I’m 25. I’ve never drank in my life and I never planned on drinking. But my uncle passed away in December and my cousin in January and all of a sudden I have a strong urge to drink alcohol. I don’t know why. Am I going through a phase of depression or am I over reacting? I never even liked the idea of alcohol. What is happening?
