I fucking hate how single moms are not held accountable for their failures as parents, it's always the father's fault.

Whenever you hear of a kid committing a crime, the media will always say "No father in the picture" or "Single mom struggles to cope with ----". Why are single moms always portrayed as martyrs while the lack of a father is blamed for everything? A kid can be born with a single mom and a single dad, yet the media never points out the lack of a mother figure when a father is raising a kid alone.
