There's a difference between people saying "I don't like small guns for self defense" and "You should buy a bigger gun"

Let's talk about it.

When someone doesn't like your small gun people don't like to consider the context.

To me, saying that small guns are bad for self defense 100% of the time is just as ignorant as saying that you should always carry a full size.

When I say that small guns aren't the best for self defense I'm talking about large men who have the ability to comfortably carry a full size handgun. I'm not talking about little women who can only carry a small .22 with them. We're also not talking about people who live in areas with extreme weather and blizzard like conditions that make it more difficult to carry larger firearms.

If you're a 6 foot 200 lbs man who says you only carry a .380 in your front pocket because you have to, that's not a valid excuse. You can do better than that. If the need to defend yourself ever arises you'll be wishing you had more gun on you.

If you're a 105 lbs woman who can only carry a small Derringer or .22, that's fine because you are making the best of your situation. When you say you have to only carry a small gun, I'm talking to the men who have the option to do better but choose not to.
