Majority of Americans Say Trump Should be Charged for January 6: Poll (msn.com)<br><br><br>A new poll from the University of New Hampshire finds that most Americans believe that Trump should be charged for his role in the January 6 riots at the U.S. Capitol. <br><br>According to the UNH poll, 59% of Americans say that Trump should be charged for his involvement in the January 6 insurrection. Conversely, 31% don't believe he should be charged. Ten percent of respondents said they were unsure. <br><br>Trump's popularity has suffered since the release of the House select committee's final report investigating the January 6 attacks. The 800-page report was released on Dec. 23, 2022, and it concluded that Trump was responsible for the Capitol riots, as he orchestrated a conspiracy to overturn the 2020 election results. <br><br>UNH's survey questioned 1,226 U.S. adults from Jan. 5 to Jan. 13. The margin of error stands at plus or minus 3.4%. <br><br>In terms of political party affiliation, 90% of Democrats said that Trump should be charged, while only 22% of Republicans agreed. Sixty-three percent of Independents said Trump should be charged. <br><br>This is just the latest sign that Trump's support is dwindling. Recent polls have shown that voters are souring on the idea of another Trump presidential campaign. <br><br>And the release of the Jan. 6 committee report wasn't the only PR blow to Trump. In December, Twitter was flooded with damaging information about Trump following the release of internal Twitter documents. <br><br>Dubbed the "Twitter Files," the information was released by Elon Musk and Twitter CEO Yoel Roth. According to the information, Trump's Twitter was suspended after pressure from the Biden administration and Twitter workers. <br><br>Trump has been vocal about his criticism of social media platforms. He has claimed that they are biased against him, and he has criticized the platforms for suspending his accounts. <br><br>&#x200B;
