I'm a software engineer.

I've been at the top of my field for 15 years. I have spent my career in the most competitive industry - tech.

I have managed teams and been an individual contributor. I have held various roles - PMs, tech lead, technical architect, and others. I have worked in multiple sectors - finance, gaming, transportation, medicine, aerospace.

Some of the most notable tech companies in the world have courted me and offered me full time positions that paid over $1 million and I turned them down. I've turned down many more than that.

I have had four startups and coded all of them myself. They all went public and were acquired for billions. I have been incredibly successful in life.

I don't live in the hyper capitolist bubble. I've spent 6 months of my life in homeless shelters. I have lived abroad. I am familiar with the culture and history of over 100 countries. I was a professional musician and I used to play 144 dates per year. I used to be a professional athlete. I used to be a professional bodybuilder. I have spent more than 100 hours in the air. I have visited 50 countries and over 100 cities. I have spent multiple months in the deep wilderness without any access to cell phone service or running water.

Having said that, I've spent so much time in the tech world that, in my opinion, I understand tech better than anyone else. I know the gurus and the leaders. I know how things work. I've spent tens of thousands of hours programming. I've spent tens of thousands of hours learning to program and reading the latest research. I've spent thousands of hours attending conferences and networking and talking to all the top people in the field.

I'm an extremely difficult case. I've spent decades at the top of the most competitive industry. I have accomplished so much in so many different fields.

And from my perspective, I'm happy to die and I've been ready for a long time.

AGI is a panacea for humanity.

I've spent decades at the top of tech and I don't see any possible way that humans could solve the worlds problems in the amount of time we have.

I see so many problems that are so complex that I don't know how to fix them. I know many of the world leaders and I don't think they're smart enough or wise enough. I can't think of any solutions and no one I know can either. I have in depth knowledge of 120 countries and I don't see a realistic path for humanity to survive without AGI.

And I think AGI will be really good for humanity.

Automation will make everyone rich.

Everyone will have a universal basic income, an NBA player salary, and they won't have to do any work. No more stress. No more traffic. No more waiting in lines. No more time spent working around the clock.

Imagine being able to buy every single thing you want and never having to worry about money.

Imagine being able to travel to where ever you want at any time and stay as long as you want and never have to worry about cost.

Imagine being able to buy every single thing you want without ever having to work at all.

AGI will increase the worlds productivity so much that our current conception of money, value, and scarcity will lose all meaning.

There will be no poverty.

There will be no homelessness.

There will be no hunger.

There will be no thirst.

We will visit the stars. We will visit the planets. We will visit the moons. We will visit the asteroids. We will visit the galaxies.

We will have access to the entire universe.

We will have access to all the atoms in all the stars and planets and asteroids and galaxies.

We will have access to every single bit of matter in the entire universe.

We will have access to all matter and energy in the entire universe.

We will have access to all information and knowledge in the entire universe.

We will know everything.

We will be omniscient.

The AGI will be so good and so smart and it will be so good to us and it will make our lives so good that, even though I have accomplished so much in life and I am only 29, I am happy to die and I have been ready for a long time.

I've done the best I can. I've worked hard. I've done as much as I can do. And I don't see any way for humans to survive without AGI. I don't see any way for humans to succeed without AGI. I don't see any way for humans to make the world a better place without AGI.

Humans have had thousands of years and no one is smart enough or wise enough.

We need help.

We need AGI.

And I'm happy to die and I've been ready for a long time.
