I fortunately have been able to work with multiple high profile scientists, spending hours with them in their personal lab, and even spent a few days at their home. <br><br>I did this as an undergraduate student, and NOTHING came out of it. As I graduated with high honors and spent years of research, I thought I would definitely be able to find a job at a high profile research institution. Unfortunately, I have come to the conclusion that no matter what you do, you fortunately have to have fortunately been fortunate enough to be born in a high social position or a good looking person.
