AITA for kicking out the 13 yos that came over for a movie and ice cream

Last week one of my co workers was in town and she usually comes over to my house. I work weird hours so its easier for me to wait till she gets home before I head home. Last week she said she wanted to watch Frozen and eat ice cream, I told her no problem. I set up a comfy movie area and made some ice cream and called her over to watch it wait till she got home. I’ll admit I feel pretty proud of myself for making homemade ice cream and I added a few things to make it more good.<br><br>Anyway about 10 minutes after she got here we were all comfortable and her mom called and asked if the kids could stay and hang out for a minute. I told her no problem, I set up a game area and chairs for them to sit in. I assume she meant just her son but no, all 3 of her kids showed up. I was pissed, I did not agree to 4 kids making messes in my home and I had just cleaned it too. I asked where the other 2 were and she told me the 12 year old had a headache and the 13 year old didn’t feel like coming.<br><br>I told her she had to go and I ended up having to throw the ice cream away cause the 10 yo had his tongue in it and then put his dirty tongue back in the ice cream. The 7 yo kept trying to get the remote out of my hands to watch different movies and she kept getting up to go help them. I love my co worker, she’s one of my closest friends and I love her to death but I did hot have time or patience for 4 kids making a mess. I ended up grabbing their stuff and telling them to go home and I ended up having to watch the movie with my friend which was fine but I was still annoyed. She asked what was wrong and I told her I wasn’t supposed to have 4 mini humans in my home. She said I was being dramatic and they would have left if they knew I was having a date over. I told her I wasn’t having a date over, just a movie and ice cream. <br><br>She texted me later saying she was mad that I threw the ice cream away and I shouldn’t have snapped at her. I apologized and told her I’d make a fresh batch when we were watching movies together. I also told her I’d pay for her ice cream the next time we went out because she was upset. She still seemed annoyed and told me I was an AH. She’s still pretty mad at me and I’m wondering if I should have sucked it up.
