If you ever happen to see a guy in a baby store buying formula, diapers and baby wipes with no wedding ring, he’s a good guy. Introduce yourself and thank him.

Edit: wow, this blew up. To all the ladies who are saying “he’s doing this because he has to so why should I be grateful” you are absolutely right that he’s probably doing this because he feels like this is his responsibility. But I also know a few men who go above and beyond for their children, spend quality time with them, take an active interest in their lives and development, who support their mothers and are generally awesome. I know a few single dads who do an amazing job in raising their children alone without any help. So yeah, there are a few assholes but there are a lot of good guys out there who really, really care for their kids. The fact that he is doing the right thing, putting his kids first, is why he should be thanked.

Edit 2: I am getting a lot of messages saying I am “policing a man’s death” because I mentioned wedding ring. I am a woman and I was in a baby store when I witnessed this and thanked a guy for being a good father (he was with his son who was probably 2-3 years old). I am not a part of any agenda and was genuinely trying to convey that men who take responsibility for their children and love them are awesome. Also, single moms and dads who are doing this alone are to be appreciated and I know a few who are doing an amazing job.
