I stole over $25k from my old workplace and they never caught me

I used to work at a McDonald’s (it was a very nice one lol) and I got in when a man had come in and left an old 100 dollar bill. I took it and put it in our safe thinking I could get it back when I needed the money from it (I was 16). <br>I worked there for about a year before I had finally worked up the courage to actually steal from them. (At that point I had about $800 because people would sometimes give larger bills that I would take). <br>I was a cashier most of the time I worked there and they never counted our security boxes. (They were small boxes we put 20s in when we broke larger bills). <br>I would sometimes put a few 20s in the box but take the rest of the 20s from the larger bills and put them in the safe. By the time I quit I had about $25,000. <br>The day I put my notice in I had put about $1,000 in the safe. <br>I never got caught but I now work at a bank and I see people get fired for much less than what I did and I feel like karma is going to get me one day. <br>I’m not planning on stealing now, it’s just that I’m so scared I’m going to get in trouble even though I don't think they’re ever going to find out.
