I stole a shirt from a store because I was too proud to admit to my friend I couldn't afford it.

When I was 15 I got invited to a party, and the theme was a casual party. I had little to no money left, and the little I had I was saving for the school trip. I had no clothes left that fit me so I had to go to the store and buy some. I went there and I was close to my price range, until my friend walked in. I had to pretend I was in the changing room so he wouldn't know I didn't have any money to spend. I ended up stealing that shirt because I didn't want to admit I was poor I bought a 70 dollar shirt for 0 dollars. I was proud I got away with it but now I feel bad.
