Being a grown man who is a "pickup artist" is sad and pathetic

I was reading an article about an extremely ****** and narcissistic "pickup artist" and it just makes me so confused as to why someone would do that. I just don't understand how you can call yourself a sane person and spend years of your life trying to pick up women. Gives me a ****** feeling inside.
