AITA for getting angry and telling a bunch of college kids to get out of my house when they started complaining about my cooking?

I 30f am a professional caterer. I recently got into a rental house that has a big kitchen that I can use, so I invited my son and DIL over to learn a new tapas recipe that I want to add to my business. Problem is, I forgot to account for the fact that the house is pretty clearly not built for more than a few people and the kitchen is even smaller than the living areas, so it was a bit of a squeeze.

Things went fine until I went to go plate everything up, and one of my son’s roommates who I’ll call Jim started complaining about the fact that there were two different types of pasta (parpadelle and spaghetti) with two different sauces being served. I explained that parpadelle needs a thicker ragu type sauce and spaghetti needs a lighter sauce like tomato and basil, and he said “well I am a pasta expert and I don’t like that combination.” My son’s roommate Barbara said “yeah I am not a big tapas person, is there any chicken or burgers by any chance?” I said “no, this is a seafood and pasta based menu” and she said “well I don’t like seafood [preceded by an awkward word]”

I was taken back by how tone deaf and rude these kids were being, and I just snapped and told them “get out of my house right now” and started tossing them their car keys to get in the car. They were confused at first but eventually did it. My son and his wife ended up just eating later at a restaurant.

Now my son and DIL are giving me shit about how I humiliated their roommates and embarrassed them in front of their friends. I told them that they couldn’t possibly understand as they didn’t see how ridiculous these two acted. They are not asking for money compensation or anything, but they have insisted that me and their roommates have a group conversation to clear the air.

AITA?
