I'm a teacher who is worried about AI replacing me

I'm a teacher for a special needs program where I work one-on-one with students. I'm seeing AI capabilities explode and, although I don't think it will happen tomorrow, I'm growing increasingly worried that I'll lose my job in 10 years.

I don't see a future where AI can interact with children in the same way as a human, and I think AI will be met with resistance from parents who don't want their children interacting with a robot. However, I can already see the writing on the wall with other educational tools that my program uses.

I don't know if I can reasonably expect my career to be safe from AI. Turning this around, I'm hoping people have thoughts on how to adapt and future-proof jobs in fields that will be impacted by AI. It's a big change in thinking to go from "how can I prepare kids for the workforce" to "how can I as an adult adapt to not being in the workforce."

(Also, yes, universal basic income should absolutely be part of the conversation but that's another discussion.)

EDIT: Thanks for the feedback and advice! I'm going to stay tuned to see how this plays out over the next few years and adjust my plans accordingly. I'm thinking about moving away from direct instruction and focusing on being a liaison between home, school, and the community, which will hopefully be something AI can't do.
