Truly sounded like a drone, looked like a drone, but just wasnt a drone

I had a really weird encounter in the late 90s when drone technology was not available to the public, although the military did have them.<br><br>It looked like a drone, it sounded like a drone, it acted like a drone, but no drones existed at that time.<br><br>It was a 3 sided triangle that had a drone like white landing plate on the bottom, kind of like one of those spinning top things. On the bottom it was just white plastic, but it had a small hole in the centre (like a drone would have on a camera, but not a camera)<br><br>I was probably 8 years old, and I remember it being about 40cm long on each side. I remember it looked like it was plastic and grey with green triangles on the bottom of each side.<br><br>I think it was using some kind of jet propulsion as I felt a slight breeze generated from it.<br><br>I remember it came across the fence and slowly hovered around me (in my back yard!) in what felt like a deliberate and calculated path around me. It flew across the fence and back over our neighbours house.<br><br>It was probably only 6 foot off the ground in the centre of its path, and got a little higher than that when it had crossed back over the fence.<br><br>I was so fucking amazed by the whole thing. Again, DRONES WEREN'T AROUND AT THIS TIME!<br><br>It was silent apart from a sort of a buzzing sounded generated from it which was actually kind of loud and annoying. It made me sneeze a little - maybe it was affecting my sinuses?<br><br>There was also a small amount of smoke coming from it. Not sure why that is either.<br><br>I never saw it again, obviously, and I can't even find anything similar online.<br><br>I remember it sounded like it was rotating kind of like a spinning top, just not as fast.<br><br>I remember seeing it fly away and I thought that was it, but it actually turned around and did a second loop around me.
