AITA for not taking my wife to the prom?

My friend asked me to prom and I said yes. I didn’t want my wife to find out about it, but she did and she was very upset. I told her I didn’t think it was a big deal because we have been friends for a while, and I didn’t feel like it would affect our relationship. But she started crying and said that she felt humiliated. I told her that it wasn’t a date and it was just for fun. She said that she wanted me to take her to the prom instead, but I explained that my friend had already asked me and I couldn’t back out now. She started yelling at me, calling me names and saying that I was cheating on her. I told her I wasn’t, but she didn’t listen. I didn’t go to the prom and now she’s still angry. AITA?
