AITA for not buying anything from the airport gift shop?

I (30F) am a sales assistant at a gift shop in the airport.<br><br>A couple of weeks ago, my manager said that I’m a wonderful sales assistant. She called the airport managers and said how wonderful and nice I am.<br><br>Then, the airport manager had to talk to me about the numbers. Meaning, the financial situation of the airport and the store.<br><br>He said that my store is one of the least popular ones in the airport. I told him that I’m sorry and I’m gonna try my best to sell more products. He said that the airport is about to close if the situation doesn’t change.<br><br>I said I’m gonna do my best to help the airport.<br><br>He said that I’m the best sales assistant he ever had but he’s gonna have to fire me if the situation doesn’t change.<br><br>On Valentine’s Day, I decided to buy all the gift cards the store had for myself. They were a total of 100 gift cards of $20 each. I sold them to some of my friends for $10 only. They were really happy, and everyone was talking about the situation. The store had to close. Everyone got fired.<br><br>The airport managers found out that I was the one who is selling gift cards for half price. They called me and asked me what I was doing. I said I didn’t do anything wrong but they got mad and said that they were gonna sue me for stealing.<br><br>I said that they gave me the gift cards and I paid for them. They said that I’m not supposed to buy all the gift cards at once.<br><br>I said that they told me I’m gonna get fired if the situation doesn’t change and I’m just trying to help. They said that I wasn’t supposed to sell the gift cards for half price to my friends.<br><br>Now, they want me to pay back all the money I got for the gift cards and they are trying to get me in trouble for stealing.<br><br>I don’t know if I’m in the wrong here or not. I’m just trying to help myself and my friends.
