All these mass shootings by mentally ill people, who are we really blaming? We know it’s not the guns?

It’s basically always a young or mid-aged male that’s the shooter when these mass shootings happen. The shooter is always described as isolated, mentally ill and a loner. The shooter usually has a history of family problems and takes his frustration out on the public. We can see this trend pretty clearly but how do we expect to change it? We can’t just take everyone’s guns, we can’t institutionalize everyone who might have an issue. The real problem is that it’s always a male. Obviously not all men are like this and can be a contributing member of society but what about the ones that can’t? What about the ones that are alone? Do we just leave them to rot or do we help them somehow.
