AITA for taking back the beer I bought for a party?

This all started last night. I (24m) invited some friends over. I’ve been drinking less, so I was pretty much just having soda all night. Except I did bring a beer from my favourite brewery that I’d been saving, so I saved that for last.

At one point, my roommate (26m) came over. He and I aren’t really friends, we get along fine but we don’t really hang out together. He saw the case I had the beer in and asked if he could have one. I said yes, and he took two.

Later on, one of my friends posted on our group chat that they had brought additional beer to the party, and if anyone wanted it, they could guess the password to a guess. My roommate immediately posted the answer, and my friend delivered the beer to our place.

He again saw the case I had the beer in, and said, “Oh, are you still saving these up?” to which I replied, “No. You have the next two beers.” and showed him where he could put them.

I’m not really sure why, but that pissed me off. I’d been saving that beer for a while, and for some reason, my roommate took them when I offered. I’ve been trying to drink less, and he has no problem consuming alcohol all day.

AITA for taking back the beers I offered?
