People who say shit like “they’re both equally as bad” or “both sides are wrong” are the most detestable human beings in our society. They are bleakly ignorant of the reality of politics and are only seeking to appear as theatre for the people around them. They think they’ve got everyone fooled with their “well actuallys” and their obnoxiously overused phrases. They think they’re contributing to discussions with their driveling takes and their pseudo-intellectual “just in the middle here” horseshit. Well, guess what you fucks? What you’re really doing is helping the most horrible, evil monsters in our society thrive. Every time you say some bullshit like that, you’re helping to empower the people you say you aren’t defending. They love your cowardly “can we all just get along?” rhetoric. They’re in ecstasy over your spinelessness. They want you to think like you do, they want you to spread their agenda thinly veiled under a mask of “rationality” and “sainthood” and “The Voice of Reason.” The worst part about it is you probably think you’re just a voice for sanity and freedom and decency and are just being reasonable, when really you’re just a tool for oppressors and monsters.<br><br>Edit: If you think that this post is literally calling centrists (or people in the middle) oppressors or monsters, you have reading comprehension on the same level as a five year old.
