LPT: Don't use fire. Or a knife. Or a hot knife on fire. If you need to cut a wire, use boltcutters or a hacksaw or dremel or a grinding wheel or any non-human powered tool.

I was helping a friend fix up their house and I realized they were using a lighter to melt a knife to cut wire.<br><br>This is an incredibly dangerous practice. It's not safe, and if it does work, it is probably going to ruin your wire, whatever you're cutting.
