My brother was kidnapped by a man pretending to be my dad

My brother was kidnapped in front of me when I was 8, I never told the cops because I was scared, I am 18 now. I might have just escaped a predator. <br><br>This is a convoluted story but bear with me. A few weeks ago, myself and my brother were wandering around outside of a mall. We had been out for a long time and my mom was late to pick us up. My brother was 11 at the time. <br><br>My father died at the age of 2 and I don’t have a strict memory of him. I had a couple pictures of him and have been told what he looked like, and acted like but not actually seen him. <br><br>Anyway, my brother starts pushing me because we are cold, and I sort of get annoyed and hit back, we have fights over things like this but never get that mean. <br><br>Straight after we stopped, a guy comes and pulls me off my brother. He said “this isn’t your dad, right?” I confirm and then he seems to freak out saying stuff like “I can’t believe it”. <br><br>I didn’t think about it at the time but he pulled my brother off me and I was scared. <br><br>I started telling him that he wasn’t my dad and he asked if I was okay and I said no, because I was scared of what he might do. <br><br>He then said “I’m sorry, I over reacted.” <br><br>I was still scared and started to run. He then chased after me and said “wait.” <br><br>I then stopped and he said “I can’t believe it, I thought my family was dead.” <br><br>I was still scared and wanted to get away. I asked “what do you mean?” And he said “I thought my family was dead, you can’t be my family, because my brother and I were the only kids. I will help you find your parents.” <br><br>I was still scared but I started to trust him. He asked where they were, I said I didn’t know and just told him that they were coming to pick me up. <br><br>My mom and dad (step dad) pulled up in a car and I was happy to see them. My step dad said “what’s going on.” And I said we were just talking about parents. <br><br>My step dad then said, “who’s this.” And the guy said “I’m (my dads name).” <br><br>My step dad then says “I’m sorry, but we’ve been married for 11 years.”
