Why do you carry a firearm?

I carry a firearm to protect myself and loved ones. I practice regularly and will continue to do so to be as proficient as I can be. I live in Arizona so all I need to carry is my CCW. I don’t care what people think about me being armed. I’m not “special” and have no illusions of running up on a mass shooter saying “not today!” but I am not afraid to defend myself and/or my loved ones. I practice in scenarios where I have loved ones close by, I practice in scenarios where I’m alone, I practice in scenarios where I’m not in control of my firearm. Yes, I’m concerned about getting shot with my own gun but that is all part of the training. I want to be able to recognize that and train myself to not bring my firearm into play until I’m sure it’s safe and I’m ready to end any threat against my family. <br> <br>I know not everyone wants to/or is able to carry a firearm. I respect that and appreciate those who have served. <br> <br>I’m not trying to sound like an ass or some kind of militia “fucker” just a Dad who wants to protect his daughter. Dad life is the best life.
