Can I get some advice on what to say when a police officer asks you if you have something to say to them before they read me by rights?

I was charged with felony possession of oxycodone, marijuana, and a Schedule 1 controlled substance. It’s only my first charge that’s going to by a felony. The rest are misdemeanors.<br><br>I was checked out by an EMT for about 5 minutes before I was taken to jail, so I don’t think they’re going to charge me for possession with intent.<br><br>I’m wondering what to say to them as they’re reading me my rights, I thought about telling them the truth, and just telling them I was using, or if I should ask for a lawyer right now.<br><br>I’ll be out in a few hours, but I don’t want to make any mistakes and fuck myself over for the next few months.
